CBSE Marking Scheme - Class XII Physics
CBSE Board has issued specific instructions and guidelines as per CBSE marking scheme. The question paper of Physics will be of total 70 marks and the maximum time to solve the questions paper will be 3 hours. Students will get internal choices in the question paper. Students will get full marks for each correct answer according to the CBSE marking scheme. Here is the table which indicates the weightage of topics in CBSE Physics Question papers.
The weightage of the distribution of marks in different sections of the question paper shall be as follows:

This paper will consist of 8 very short answer questions of 1 mark each. There will be two types of short answer questions with 2 and 3 marks respectively. Besides, there will be 3 long answer questions, in which students are required to write detailed answers. The 5 long answer questions will carry 5 marks each. The total maximum marks of CBSE Physics paper will be 70. In this paper, students will have no overall choice. However, some questions have internal choices on any one question of 3 marks, any one question of 2 marks and all three long answer questions. In all five marks questions, there will be internal choices.
