Punjab University Chandigarh UIAMS MET 2013

University of Applied Management Sciences-Management Entrance Test popularly known as UIAMS MET 2013 entrance exam is held by Punjab University, Chandigarh for giving admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes offered by the university in the following fields:
 

• IT and Telecommunications Management
• Banking and Insurance Management
• Retail Management
• Pharmaceutical Management
• Hospital Management
• Infrastructural Management
   

This year the university will held this UIAMS MET entrance exam on 17th March, 2013 for enrolling students in various management programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline of Pubjab University or of any other recognised university with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.

Candidates who have done their Bachelor's degree in Modern Indian Language (Hindi/Punjabi/Urdu) and or in a classical language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) or degree from any other recognised university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into the consideration full percentage marks in all the Language excluding the additional paper, English and the elective subjects taken together.

OR

Aspirants must have passed the final year of examination held either (1) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, OR (2.) Institute of Coast and Works Accountants of Indian or England, OR (3.) Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

OR

AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or more and have minimum 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.

MBA (Information Technology & Telecommunication Management) and MBA (Infrastructural Management)
 

• Candidates must have completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) of Punjab University or from any other recognised university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.

• Candidates must have done Bachelor's in Science with Physics/Mathematics from Punjab University or from any recognised university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
  
  
  OR
   
• Candidates who have done Bachelor's in Computer Application (BCA) of Punjab University of any other university or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
• AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after completing the diploma examination with 60% marks or above with minimum 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.
   

MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)

• Candidates, who have completed Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Punjab University or any recognised university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
• Candidates, who have completed MBBS from Punjab University or from any recognised university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• Candidate, who have completed Bachelor's degree in any science subject from Punjab University or any other recognised university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

MBA (Hospital Management)

Candidates who have completed MBBS/BAMS/BHMS/BDS/B.Pharmacy/B.Sc. (Nursing)/Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Punjab University or from any recognised university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Exam pattern:

The duration of the exam is two hours and carries 85% weightage. The pattern of the exam is objective type and multiple-choice type objective questions will be asked in the exam. Each question will have 4 options and candidates are supposed to choose the right option from the available options. The questions will be based on:
 

• General Knowledge
• Economics and Business Environment Awareness
• Data interpretations and problem solving
• Numerical Ability
• Verbal Ability/Reasoning
• English Comprehension
   

Examination Centers:

The examination will be conducted at three major cities: Delhi, Chandigarh, and Ludhiana at various locations.

Last date to send dully filled application form with late fee: 26th February, 2013
Date for dispatch of admit card: 5th March, 2013
