About MAT
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is generally conducted by Centre for Management Services of All India Management Association (AIMA). AIMA governing body held this exam every year for more than 3000 member colleges and institutes. The AIMA generally conducts this exam four times in a year in the month of February, May, September and December. The exam is conducted at national level to enrol students in the prestigious B-Schools of the country, which are recognized by AICTE. Many leading B-Schools and management institutes accept test score of MAT as admission criteria. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has awarded this exam status of national level entrance test. It is conducted at all major cities in the country.
MAT Exam Pattern 2013
MAT exam is conducted for post graduate management programs such as: Master in Business Administration, Post Graduate Diploma in Bachelor Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Management. There is not set exam pattern, every year students face some major or minor changes in the exam pattern. Objective type questions are asked in the exam. Total numbers of questions asked in the exam are 200 and the upper time limit to complete the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Students can choose online or offline mode to attempt the exam as per their convenience.
Section I: Language and Comprehension, 40 questions (30 Minutes)
Section II: Mathematical Skills, 40 questions (40 Minutes)
Section III: Data Analysis and Sufficiency, 40 questions (35 Minutes)
Section IV: Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, 40 questions (30 Minutes)
Section V: Indian and Global Environment, 40 questions (15 Minutes)
