GATE Result 2014

Graduate Aptitude Test Result in Engineering (GATE) will be declared on 28^th March, 2014. The result for GATE 2014 will be valid for a period of two years. Aspirants can check their result of GATE 2014 entrance exam by using their Registration no or their email id.  The aspirants can use their GATE 2014 test scores to get admission in Post Graduate Engineering and Technology and Ph.D courses across the country in engineering and technology institutes. Candidates can also use GATE 2014 result for recruitment by the major PSUs. Candidates can check the GATE 2014 result by visiting the official website of GATE 2014 .

GATE 2014

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institute of Technology (IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) jointly administer the conduct of GATE. The operations related to GATE in each of the 8 zones are managed by a zonal GATE office at the IITs or IISc. The organising institute is responsible for end-to-end management and coordination amongst the administering Institutes. This year the GATE 2014 will be organised by IIT Kharagpur.

The GATE 2014 will be conducted for 22 papers by an Online Computer Based Test (CBT). The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answer must be keyed in by the candidates using the virtual keypad. Rest of the questions shall be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type.

GATE 2014 Eligibility Criteria:

·   Candidates must have completed their B.Tech, B.E, B. Pharma, B.Sc., B.S., B.Arch. or engineering degree from any recognised university with at least 50% marks

·   Candidates who are appearing in the final year of examination are in the B.Tech or B.E., B.S., B.Arch, or engineering degree are also eligible to apply for the exam.

·    Candidates with Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Application or equivalent are eligible to apply for the exam.

·    Candidates who have completed M.E, M.Tech, BSc.-M.Sc. integrated, and M.E. are eligible to apply for the GATE entrance exam.
