XAT 2014 Entrance Exam & Details
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2014 is the second most sought after MBA entrance exam after CAT. The entrance exam is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur ever year to enrol students in to various management courses. The XAT test scores are accepted by 112 B-Schools. XAT 2014 entrance exam will be held on 5th January, 2014. XLRI conducts this exam on behalf of the XAMI. XLRI conducts this entrance exam at all India level to select the best talent from all over the country for management education.
XAT 2014 Exam Pattern:
The XAT 2014 entrance exam will be held in pen-paper mode. It is one of the most difficult entrance exams. There will be total 90-100 questions on English, Quantitative Aptitude, LR-DI and Decision Making. General Awareness also and he/she should be well-versed with the objective-type questions. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes. There will be a test on Essay Writing also to be done in 20 minutes. The paper is divided into four major sections such as:
There will be 1 mark given for each correct answer and for each wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted. Marks secured by the candidates in General Knowledge portion will be used for determining the percentile and cut-off at first stage of selection.

Verbal & Logical Ability
This section has two types of questions, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability or English Usage. This section also contains logical, critical and analytical reasoning questions. The English Usage questions are on grammar and vocabulary.
