IIMC signed MoU with Australian varsity for exchange programmes

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi, and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia signed Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement was signed with the objective of bringing information and communication technology in academic programmes. The institute will enter into joint venture and develop a collaborative doctoral programme.

Officers in the Indian Information Service will get training from an Australian university on how to use modern technology and social media to share information of government policies with stakeholders.

Mid-level and senior officers will get trained to understand and adapt to changing media landscape, under a memorandum of understanding which was signed between the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia.

The institutions inked an international cooperation agreement to collaborate on academic programmes and research in media and communication. This agreement will also lead to joint venture and develop a collaborative doctoral programme. Now, these two institutions will also lead to joint academic and scientific activities, this will include courses, conferences, seminars, symposia, lectures, student and faculty exchange programmes and exchange materials and publications of common interest.

The two institutions have signed this agreement for five years and will reviewed six months before the end date and may be renewed for a further years by mutual agreement.
