MGIMS 2013 Medical Entrance Test & Paper Pattern
Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (MGIMS), Maharashtra was established in the year 1969. It offers programmes in medical science and related studies. It has invited applications for four years MBBS course commencing in the upcoming academic session 2013-14. This year the entrance exam will be held on 21st April, 2013 at Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur and Varanasi. The application process has already started and the last date to fill the application form is 15th March, 2013. In the entrance examination the paper of Physics, Chemistry and Biology will have multiple questions, but questions on Gandhian Thought will be long and short answer type questions will be asked.
MGIMS Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must be an India national.

Candidates must have attained minimum age 17 years on or before 31st December of the year admission.

Candidates should have passed Class 12th examination under 10+2 pattern of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or an equivalent examination from any recognised Indian Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

He/she must have secured minimum 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and English.

Candidates from ST/SC/VJ/NT/OBC should have secured at least 40% marks of total aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Application Procedure for MGIMS
Candidates who want to take admission in MBBS courses of MGIMS can get the Prospectus and Application from:

He/she can obtain application form by paying only Rs. 4000 in cash at Account Section in premises of Administrative Complex of KHS and MGIMS. OR

Candidates can obtain the application form by paying Rs. 4000 to State Bank of India through bank challan, which can be downloaded from the official website: www.mgims.ac.in.

To submit online fee by bank challan candidates must follow the procedure mentioned on the official website

The prospectus will be sent to the candidates on the receipt of the copy of the challan stamped paid by the bank.
Admit Card Download
Candidates can download the admit card by visiting official website: www.mgims.ac.in in the month of April. A copy of admit card will be sent to candidates by post.
Paper Pattern
The entrance exam will consist two papers:
Paper 1:

Multiple choice questions on Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Number of questions asked per subject are 60.
-
Maximum allocated time to complete the paper will be 180 minutes.

For each correct answer one mark will be awarded and for wrong answer no negative marking will be done.
Paper 2 (The Gandhian Thoughts)

Section carries 60 marks

Maximum duration to complete this section is three hours.

Easy type/or short answer questions will be asked

Candidates can answer the paper either in English or Hindi.
MGIMS Syllabus 2013

The questions will be based on Class 10+2 syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology as per CBSE and Maharashtra Board.

Gandhian Thought Paper will be asked on the topics as per the syllabus.
