Apply for a joint Computer Science MS/MBA degree course at Stanford University

Stanford University will offer a joint computer science MS/MBA degree programme to graduate students in 2014-15 academic year. Aspirants can apply for getting admission to starting this fall. 
 
Madhav Rajan, senior associate dean and faculty director of the MBA programme at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, said, “The combination program recognizes the critical connections between technology, innovation, strategy, and execution that are needed to move great ideas forward.” This new joint programme will allow students to get two degrees in three years, instead of the usual four years needed to complete each one separately. 
 
Aspirants who want take admission in this join program must separately apply to and be accepted by both the Stanford Graduate School of Business MBA program and School of Engineering’s Computer Science MS program. To complete this joint programme, students required a combination of 129 units, which also includes 84 units at Stanford GBS and 45 units in the Computer Science department. 
 
Under this programme students must complete 21 of their computer science units in one of the following areas: artificial intelligence, biocomputation, computer and network security, human-computer interaction, information management and analytics, mobile and internet computing, real world computing, software theory, systems, or theoretical computer science. Students who complete the joint program will earn two degrees one in MS in computer science and another in MBA. 
 
To get admission in this joint graduate programme, students must have an undergraduate degree or work background in computer science or quantitative subjects such as engineering or mathematics. Applications for this programme will be evaluated on intellectual vitality, demonstrated leadership potential, and personal qualities. 
 
Students must have a valid GRE exam score to be eligible to get admission in this programme. The last date for application of this programme for 2014-15 session is 10th December, 2013
