Top tips to prepare for CMAT 2013

Aspirants preparing for CMAT entrance exam might be facing many issues and must be going through rough time. The exam pattern is very new and candidates are not much familiar with it. But if you know how to crack the nutshell in this exam you can sail through easily. CMAT is held by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) for enrolling aspirants in various post graduate programmes in AICTE approved management colleges across the country.

The exam is generally conducted twice in a year. The pattern of the exam is objective type. The exam is gateway to many leading management institutes of the country. If students know how to prepare, what to prepare and what not to prepare, they can score high in this exam. Here are some useful tips to prepare for this exam:

Make short notes: Make short notes of important points, facts and other significant details. It will help you in revision and in final preparation as you are not required to go back to your books again and again to see the stuff.

Stick to time-table: Time management is really important to excel in any exam. Calculate your subjects and topics, accordingly divide your time covering each subject. Do not dedicate your whole time to one or two subjects; this way you will not get enough time prepare for all subjects. Follow your time-table religiously to cover all topics on time.

Read Newspaper & magazines: It is really important that you read at least two-three different newspapers each day. To get information about daily affairs and other day to day important events read magazines on current affairs. It will help you to score high in general aptitude section.

Attempt mock tests: Take different mock papers, it will give you an idea of what kind of questions will be asked in the exam. It will also help you to get familiar with the exam pattern.

Work on speed and accuracy: This is one of the most important factors to excel in this exam. While preparing for the exam work on your speed and accuracy, it will help you to improve your speed for the final day. Keep an eye on time you spend on a solving a particular section, it will give you clear idea that in how much time you will be able to complete your exam.

Take short breaks: While preparing on a particular section after two hours or so take a short break to relax and release your stress. It is important that you take ample breaks, it will help you to improve your speed and capacity to study.

Don't start new topic in last minute: Once you complete all topics and covered each section, do not start a new topic in last minute. It will create more confusion and anxiety. So refine your topics and revise them again and again to excel.
