Get Dual Degree benefit through Distance Education

Distance learning is gaining popularity among the young professionals and aspirants because of many advantages. The Distance Education Council (DEC) has taken a new decision to make it more student friendly. According to their new proposal now students can pursue two programmes simultaneously through combination of distance and regular modes.

Uttar Pradesh Rajshri Tandon Open University PRO Prabhat Mishra informed that DEC has decided to allow students to take two or more programmes at the same time in different combinations.

As per to this new decision of the DEC communication to UPRTOU vice-chancellor Prof AK Bakshi, said that students can’t pursue two degree programmes at the same time in regular studies, but they can do this by opting one in regular mode and another through distance learning from different university in various combination.

The DEC has also announced some combinations which students can choose. This combination includes one degree and diploma/postgraduate diploma/certificate. One of the same pattern students can pursue one postgraduate diploma and one diploma/certificate.

Prof. Bakshi said, "There are large numbers of students in our institutions who wanted to pursue more than one course at a time but were not able to do so because of various constraints. But after the DEC decision, students can get admission in more than one course."
