Online counselling for JEE-Advanced till 30th June
There were total 1.5 lakh students appeared in the JEE Advanced entrance exam and result of the exam was declared on 21st June, 2013. Students who have cleared the exam can participate in the online counselling which will continue till 30th June.
The ongoing counselling will give these students a chance to secure the seats in their desired colleges and opt for their preferred course. The interest trend of students is similar to the previous years, this year too, students are preferring courses such as Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical and Civil Engineering courses. The demand for dual degree courses has increased among aspirants. The students are choosing maximum number of courses for IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Madras, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-BHU, IIT-Guwahati and IIT-Kharagpur. Thereafter, students are giving preference to other IITs that have been newly constituted like IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Ropar are among few. The IITs will declare final list of students and seat allocation on 2nd July.
The successful students will be asked to visit respective IITs to get their documents verified from 4th July to 8th July. After verification of the documents, students will be allowed to take admission in the IITs and courses of their interest.
Besides, the students have been asked to report to IITs offered to them on 20th July and 21st July, 2013 and the classes will commence from 27th July, 2013.
