Delhi University will publish first cut-off tomorrow

This is the first time when Delhi University will start enrolling students into the four year undergraduate programmes. The university will publish a consolidated cut-off list tomorrow and admission in the college will commence after that. The time allocated to take admission after issuing each cut-off list is three days inclusive of the day on which the list will be issued.

Delhi University has made another significant change in admission pattern as it has scrapped the option of selecting the colleges at the time of registration. Candidates can just select the course during the registration and are eligible for admission in all colleges it is being offered if they are eligible according to the cut-off issued. The university will issue different cut-offs for OBC, SC/ST and persons with disability.

Once the Delhi University will issue the cut-off, all the candidates are advised to choose colleges they are eligible for and visit these with relevant documents as early as possible as the admission period is just three days for each list. Once admission closes in a particular category, the candidates will not be able to take admission based on that list but only based on subsequent cut-offs. All candidates who have applied for ECA/sports quota admissions, but have also filled the OMR forms can opt for admission in general category in case they fulfil the cut-off criterion. However, cut-offs are likely to come down in subsequent list, it is always wise to book a seat in whichever college one is eligible for. In case a student qualifies in the second list or subsequent lists in the college of their choice, one can always cancel their admission and get the documents and original certificates back on the same day.
