NIFT Admission & Eligibility Criteria

NIFT or National Institute for Fashion Technology is very sought after college in India for Fashion designing and various courses related to apparel manufacturing and other technologies and techniques. Candidates who want to take admission in prestigious NIFTs under various courses offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology.

NIFT 2013 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have attained the age of 23 years as on 1st October, 2012, born on or after 1st October, 1989 subject to the following qualifications:

Eligibility for Bachelor Programmes: Design: B.Des. (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication)

• Candidates must have completed Class 10+2 from recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination. OR
• Candidate must have attained General Certification Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. OR
• Candidates have completed 3 or 4 years diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.OR
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for B.F.Tech:

• Candidates must have completed Class 10+2 from recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination. OR
• Candidate must have attained General Certification Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. OR
• A pass grade in Senior Secondary Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. OR
• Candidates have completed 3 or 4 years diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.OR
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Master of Design:

• Candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree from any recognised institute or university. OR
• Candidates must have done Diploma in UG Design from NIFT/NID only. OR
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Mast of Fashion Management

• Candidate must have passed Bachelor,s degree from any recognised institute or university. OR
• Candidates must have done Diploma in UG Design from NIFT/NID only. OR
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Master of Fashion Technology

• B.Tech from NIFT. OR
• B.E/B.Tech from any recognised Institute or University. OR
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Important Dates

NIFT pen-paper based test for all UG & PG courses will be held on: 10th February, 2013

NIFT computer-based test for all UG & PG courses will be held on: 6th &7th April, 2013

Result will be declared on: 15th April, 2013

Group Discussion & Personal Interview will be held on: In the month of April/May
