NIMCET 2013 Exam Date

National Institute of Technology (NITs) are institutions of national importance and are centrally funded institute. The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test. It is national level entrance test conducted by NITs for enrolling students in to their MCA programmes. The test will be conducted at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jameshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappali and Warangal for getting admission in to the upcoming academic session. The admission in above mentioned institutes will be done only on the basis of NIMCET MCA entrance test. The programme is specially designed to cater to the need of different information technology firms in the country and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale for general category and candidates from SC/ST categories must have scored at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale.

He/she must have complete B.Sc/B.Sc. (Hons)/BCA/BIT of minimum three years full time or BE/B.Tech or equivalent fom a recognised university.

Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the entrance test.

Application Procedure & Fee:

Candidates are requested to fill the application fee online by visiting the official website of NIMCET. Take the print out of the duly filled application form and send along with DD. Aspirants are requested to send other relevant documents as well along with DD by speed post/registered post to “Secretary, NIMCET-2013, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh-506004.”

Candidates seeking admission in MCA programme from general and OBC category are required to pay Rs. 1600/- and SC/ST candidates are required to pay Rs. 800/- only. Candidates are requested to take a Demand Draft for an appropriate amount mentioned for their category.

Aspirants should write their name, address and mobile number and NIMCET-2013 Application Number generate on the reverse side of the original Demand Draft before sending it along with generated application to NIMCET-2013 office. Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of NIMCET-2013.

NIMCET Test pattern

NIMCET-2013 test will be have only one questions paper and total number of question will be 120. The pattern of the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Analytical Ability and Reasoning 40 questions
Computer Awareness 10 questions
General English 20 questions

For each correct reply you will be awarded four marks and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted. There is no deduction from the total score will however be made if a questions is unanswered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be negatively marked.

NIMCET entrance test will be held on: 29th May, 2013

NIMCET entrance test result will be declared on: 11th May, 2013 Counselling for Admissions will be held on: 17th June & 24th June, 2013
