GGSIPU CET 2013 Exam Date

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers B.Tech, M.Tech (Dual Degree)/B.Tech Engineering programmes to aspiring candidates. GGSIPU admission to B.Tech, M.Tech (Dual Degree)/B.Tech Engineering programmes are done on the basis of ‘Common Entrance Test’ (CET) conducted by the university. It is a mandatory test for all those candidates who want to apply for the programmes. This year the exam for B.Tech courses will be done on 19th May, 2013 and for B.Tech/M.Tech dual degree programmes on 9th June, 2013.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have completed Class 12th from any recognised board with at least 55% marks or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology. Candidates must have passed English as a main subject in the qualifying examination.

Candidates appearing in the final year of examination are also eligible to apply for the programme.

Selection Process:

The selection for the engineering courses will be done on the basis of rank and score obtained by the students in the CET.

GGIPU CET Patter Pattern

The maximum time allocated to complete the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The questions will be based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There will be total 150 questions asked in the examination. For each correct answer four marks will be awarded. There is negative marking in the examination, for each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. All the questions will be asked in English.

GGIPU CET Application Process:

Aspiring candidates can apply online. The online form will be available on the official website of the university. The candidates must fill the application following all the instructions, take the print out and send it with all necessary required documents. Candidates can also get the application form from the selected branches of Indian Bank by making cash payment of Rs. 1000 or can request the application form from the university by sending the DD for the amount.

Last date for receipt of dully filled application form: 6th April, 2013

GGIPU CET examination will be held on: 19th May, 2013

GGIPU CET exam result will be declared on: 5th June, 2013
