Amrita 2013 Entrance Exam & Exam Date

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts its Engineering Entrance Examination every year. The exam is conducted on all India bases to enrol students into 4 year B.Tech programmes. The programmes are offered at three campuses at Amritpuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). Candidates who will meet the eligibility criteria will get admission into the first year of B.Tech programmes through counselling, based on their marks in the Entrance Examination.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age: Candidates must be born on or after 1st July, 1992.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 examination from any recognised board or university or equivalent examination. He/She must have secured 60% marks or above in Mathematics, 55% or above marks in Physics and Chemistry each with aggregate of minimum in the three subjects.

OR

Aspirant must have completed three year Diploma in Engineering with at least 60% marks from any State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.

Those who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/Aril 2013 may also apply.

The aspirants will be called for counselling on the basis of marks/rank obtained in the entrance test and Class 12th board exam scores.

Paper Pattern:

The duration of the examination is 3 hours. The questions will be objective type and based on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Each question will have four answers of which only one is correct/most appreciate. The question will be asked in English. Each question carries 3 marks. There is negative marking in the examination 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
