Brainware, a brainchild of Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, was launched in 1990 as a computer training centre in a tiny 10x10 room in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Within a decade, Brainware Computer Academy had become a trusted brand in the state. Its training centres fast multiplied to 100 across the country, disseminating IT education at affordable fees to students from all walks of life.

During these years, over two lakh students were trained in various disciplines of IT and placed in organisations in India and abroad.
