CLAT 2013 -The Common Law Admission Test

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2013 ) is an all India level entrance test conducted by 14 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree from (LL.B & LL.M). The registration process for the CLAT has already started and the last date for submitting the filled application form is 30th March, 2013. This year the entrance test will be conducted on 12th May, 2013 at various test centres across the country. The result will be declared on 30th May, 2013.

Eligibility for Undergraduate courses: To be eligible to appear in the CLAT 2013, an aspiring candidate must have completed their Senior Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised board with at least 45% marks in aggregate. The eligibility criteria of marks is 40% for ST/SC candidates. The candidate should be below 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2013 and 2 years relaxation is given to ST/SC candidates. Those who are appearing in the final year examination of class 10+2 are also eligible to apply for the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-Graduate Course: To appear in CLAT-2013 entrance exam, a candidate must have completed LL.B/B.Law degree or equivalent from a recognised university with at least 55% marks in aggregate and 50% in case of SC/ST candidates. Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of bachelor degree are also eligible to apply for this entrance test.

Offline Application Process: Candidates should send the duly filled application form along with a copy of the Bank Challan/Cash Receipt/Demand Draft to be submitted to the Convener, CLAT-2013, either in person or through registered/speed post to the following address before 30th March, 2013. Online Application Procedure: Application for CLAT 2013 can also be done through online. For applying online candidates are required to visit www.clat.ac.in for making online payment of application fees and uploading of the passport size photograph and scanned copy of signature through electronic through electronic mode. Before applying online read all the instruction carefully. The online payment can be made through net-banking, debit card, credit card, etc.
