FMS student bagged Rs. 61 lakh per annum offer

The faculty of Management (FMS) Delhi has released its placement report for the present batch. A student has received an offer of Rs. 61 lakh per annum, which is the highest offer to any students made by any company this year. The strength of present batch is 205 and these students receive total 212 offers ensuring 100% placements. A total 107 companies visited campus to recruit the talent from the institute. All the students who attended placement received good job offers with an average salary of Rs. 16.8 lakh per annum, whereas the average salary of top 50 offers stood somewhere 19 lakh per annum.

Divya Singh, student-coordinator, said, “Given the economic scenario, we consider the salaries and the 100 per cent employment a big success for the Institute.” She further added that there were nearly 217 students in their batch across all courses and few chosen to opt out of placement process. Four students chose to start their own business and become entrepreneurs while rest of the students are trying their luck at the civil services examinations.

Jobs in the Sales and Marketing sector were the most popular with 33% students being recruited in that field. Some big companies such as Nestle, Coca-Cola and Google were among the top recruiters.

Companies from finance sector which participated in the placement process such as JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Royal Bank of Scotland were the top recruiters who recruited 20% students.

Consulting and General Management Sector recruited around 18 and 13 percent students each with companies such as McKinsey and Co., Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte USI and Deloitte India making many offers. Around 37 first-time recruiters visited the campus this year.

The FMS, which has been ranked as the top fourth in most of the MBA ranking that are conducted across the country. The students of the institute have managed to grab same highest salary offered at IIM-Bangalore. There are many leading B-Schools which have not revealed their highest salary.
