CAT result out, eight have scored perfect 100 percentile scores

The most awaited result of Common Admission Test (CAT) has been declared for getting admission to IIMs and other B-Schools. Eight candidates have scored perfect 100 percentile score in this exam. There are 10 candidates also who have scored 99.9 percentile and one of them is female. The only topper from Delhi in Common Admission Test 2013 is Anirudh Batra who is among the eight toppers who scored perfect 100 percentile. Anirudh Batra is a resident of Pachim Vihar and completed his graduation from BITS Pilani in 2013. Anirudh has also topped CMAT exam in 2012.

Scoring the perfect 100 percentile is not a child’s play. This year 1.74 lakh candidates have appeared in this exam whereas 1.94 lakh candidates have registered for the exam. Telling about his success mantra and preparation, Anirudh Batra, said, “Since I am working, I had less time for study. But I used to devote an hour every day on weekdays for CAT preparation and around four hours on weekends. I prepared for around four to six months.”

CAT 2013 is his second attempt at the entrance test for the 13 IIMs and other B-Schools of the country. Last year, he scored 98 percentile, “but didn't get many calls because of the low score. I didn't get calls from the top B-schools.” He further added, “But I gained from last year's experience, and now focus on the interviews that are likely to come my way. I am waiting for the IIMs to come up with their list. So far I got call from IIM, Ahmedabad as it is the only IIM to release the list.”
