Celebration time for IIT-Kanpur students, two students receive Rs. 1.20 crore offer

IIT-Kanpur has started its placement session and it will last till 22nd December, 2013. There are many leading companies which participated in the placement session. It is celebration time for students of IIT-Kanpur as they have received good offers. Two students of the institute received Rs. 1.20 crore pay packages during the ongoing placement drive. These students have received highest pay package till so far and the offer has been made by IT giant Oracle. In this placement, till now 76 students have received packages between Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 24 lakh per annum from different companies.

In those four days more than 50 companies have already participated in the placement process, IIT-Kanpur placement cell chairman Vimal Kumar further added that the institute is expecting that more than 200 companies will visit campus to recruit talent. Besides, he rejected to give details about the salary packages offered to students.

Some of the industry biggies which participated in the placement session in last few days were Google, Oracle, Mitsubishi, Amazon, Citi Bank and Microsoft have conducted participated in the process and given offer letters to nearly 76 students. Around 180 students received offer letters. IIT Kanpur official informed that for this placement process around 1100 students from B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc. have registered.
