UK universities trying new ways to woo Indian students to study in UK

UK universities have launched a new film which has its objective to create awareness about the application process for higher studies in the UK’s top universities. These universities have taken this initiative to woo Indian students to get enrolled in UK Universities. UK Universities, the British council in Delhi have jointly prepared this film for Indian students.

The film is based on two Indian students-Arshi Aggarwal and Angesh Anupam-who are applying for student visa for higher studies in UK. The film reveals the candidate’s aspiration to pursue their higher education in UK and their parent’s apprehension for their children’s well being in any foreign country. The movie also gives wider perspective about getting education and living in UK.

The film is beneficial for both Indian students and parents to understand the procedure of visa application to study at the best universities of UK. Students can view this film on youtube, UK Universities website and as well as from those of partner organisations.

Speaking about this new initiative, Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of universities UK, said: "This is a great way of showing, to the many students around the world who want to study in the UK, how the process works and how it can become a reality. Prospective international students and their parents hear a lot of myths about the application process and the UK's student visa system. Through these real life examples, they get a first-hand account of how the process actually works."

She further added, "UK universities remain extremely attractive to international students, so it is vital that we provide a warm welcome and ensure that visa and immigration rules are properly understood. International students make an extremely valuable contribution to the UK, both academically and financially."
