CAT 2013: 1.94 lakh candidates appeared, results would be out on 14th January, 2014

The Common Admission Test (CAT) has been recently completed and this one of the most sought after exams of the country. In this exam, total 1,94,516 candidates appeared in the CAT for getting admission to the top notch Indian Institutes of Management and other leading B-Schools of the country.

In last year’s CAT exam, total 1,91, 642 candidates appeared in the exam. As per a release from testing agency, Prometric, which stated that candidates who appeared on time with proper documentation successfully completed their tests. The testing window extended from 16th October to 11th November, 2013.

Rohit Kapoor, CAT 2013 convener, said, “CAT continues to draw interest as India's most recognisable entrance examination, and this year's testing window was no exception. This year's testing window was conducted smoothly and we will announce results early in 2014.”

The result would be announced on 14th January, 2013 and aspirants can check their results by visiting the official website: www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in. Soumitra Roy, General Manager, Prometric India, said, “From start to finish, this year's CAT delivery progressed smoothly.” This year, across all IIMs total 115 seats have been added, which make the total toll to 3,335 seats.
