JEE Advanced 2014 will be held on 25th May

The Joint Admission Board of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has officially declared the schedule for JEE (Advanced)-2014 for admissions to the IITs. The JEE Advanced will be held on 25th May, 2013. The board had earlier decided not to take a computer-based JEE-Advanced 2014. Apart from this the aspirants will have a paper-pencil basted test. This Advanced test will comprised two papers-the first to be held from 9 AM to 12 Noon, and second from 2 PM to 5 PM. The pattern of the paper will be multiple choice objective type that will test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

Conducted by the seven zonal IITs (under the directives of the Joint Admission Board) for admission to the undergraduate programmes in all IITs and ISM Dhanbad, only the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) based on their scores in Paper-1 of JEE (Main)-2014 will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2014. The first phase of the exam JEE (Main) will be conducted by CBSE on behalf of the JEE apex board on 6th April, in both online and offline modes. The paper one of both the exams will be conducted in both offline and online mode but paper 2 will be conducted on pen-paper based pattern only.

The seven zonal IITs include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. The application process for JEE Main will begin from 15th November and last date for application will be 16th December. The result of the JEE Main will be announced on 3rd May, 2013. The registration process for the JEE Advanced will begin from 4th May, 2014 and will end on 9th May, 2014. In the same time, candidates will have to pay fee for appearing for JEE Advanced. Candidates can download the admit card from visiting the official website: www.jeeadv.iitd.ac.in . The result of the JEE Advanced will be announced on 19th June, 2014.
