AIPGMEE will be held online from 25th November, 2013

After the approval of Supreme Court of India on the engagement of National Board Examinations (NBE) and the schedule of the examination, the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examinations (AIPGMEE 2014) will be conducted as computer-based test by NBE. This AIPGMEE will be held from 25th November to 6th December, 2013 at Prometric Test Centres in 38 different cities across the country.

Aspirants can get the detailed information of AIPGMEE 2014 for medical courses by visiting the official website: www.nbe.gov.in. NBE will conduct AIPGMEE online for admission to all India 50% quota of MD/MS/PG diploma courses offered at government medical colleges/institutes, except the states of Andhra Pradesh and J&K. The state government of Haryana, Punjab, Chhattisgarh and University of Delhi will accept the result of this all India level exam to enrol students of AIPGMEE 2014 for admission to MD/MS/PG diploma courses at all colleges which comes under their control. These states will not conduct any kind of state entrance examination of their own.

Admission to MD/MS/PG diploma courses at institutes offered under Armed Forces Medical Services will be done of basis of result of AIPGMEE 2014. NBE executive director, Dr. Bipin Batra, said, “The examination shall be of three hours and 30 minutes duration. In addition, 15 minutes of test tutorial time will be given and the test comprises 300 MCQs (multiple choice questions) that are spread across different subjects of the MBBS curriculum, and there shall be no negative marking. Registration for the test shall be online and pre-paid test fee vouchers shall be available at 279 branches of Axis Bank across the country with effect from October 24, 2013. Registration and Scheduling for the test can be undertaken online with effect from October 26, 2013, at 9:30 am onwards.” The last date for registration is 13th November, 2013.
