Uttar Pradesh will have three new medical colleges

The Uttar Pradesh government has given green signal for establishing three new private medical colleges in the state. A decision to allow these medical colleges at Mathura, Lucknow and Mainpuri were taken at the steering committee meeting presided over by the chief secretary Jawed Usmani.

Official also mentioned that few of them objected on naming the Mathura medical college as SN medical college but the differences between officials were ironed out.

The objection was that the SN medical college is the name of the government college which is operational in Agra for many decades. All the formalities of opening a medical college in Mainpuri were also completed. A proposal to open the MC Sexana medical college in Lucknow also got the approval of the committee.
