IIM Kashipur Placement: Average package offered Rs. 10 lakh

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has completed its first placement session of its first batch of PGP. In this placement session over 30 companies participated, some big names such as Hero Moto Corp, Tata Power, ICICI Bank, BPCL, IFFCO Group, Yes Bank, etc. These companies made lucrative offers to students.

The institute said that the average pay package offered to students at campus was Rs. 10 lakh, whereas the highest pay package offered was Rs. 16.25 lakh. As per the IIM Kashipur Placements Chairperson Dr. Prasad Uniyal, a total of 31 top companies participated in the campus placement and made nearly 34 offers to students. However, 31 students have finally accepted the job offers. The placement session also witnessed international offer from IFFCO Group based out of Dubai.

Out of the batch of total 37 students in the class of 2013, a total 35 students had opted for campus placement. The report also declared that the students who opted for job locations in the metro cities with Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Kolkata attracting a total of 15, 7 and 4 students respectively.

Finance and Marketing emerged as the key function area with over 60 percent of the batch opted for different profiles in the two functional areas.
