Odisha JEE counselling to begin from 10th June

he registration for counselling for admission into various professional courses in Odisha joint entrance examination OJEE is about to start from 10th June, 2013.

As per the tentative timeline prepared by the state government, three rounds of counselling will be conducted. The first phase of counselling will be conducted from 10th June to 29th June, 2013. The second round of counselling will start from 5th July to 10th July, 2013 and the third round of counselling will begin from 15th July to 20th July, 2013. OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahoo said, "We will try to stick to the tentative schedule. The government will take a final decision within a day or two."

She further added that OJEE authorities are finalising the number of seats for different colleges and programmes. The government is also thinking to increase the total quantity of nodal centres to 25. Last year, there were total 20 centres. As against Rs. 16,000 towards part-admission fee during the counselling last year, this year the aspirants are required to pay only Rs. 5,000.

There are nearly 3,000 seats in nine government colleges, which are nearly 800 more compared to last year. The 98 private colleges have around 42,000 seats. More than 62,000 students have qualified the OJEE for admission against 44,000 seats in nearly 110 colleges in the state.
