13 year old boy cracked IIT-JEE Main exam
Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) Main result has been declared and a 13 year old boy from Bihar has cracked this competitive and tough exam.
Satyam Kumar of Bakhorapur village in Bhojpur district has cleared the IIT last year at the age of 12 and half years, after he got special permission from CBSE, Mumbai zone. He has secured an all-India rank of 8,173.
He was not satisfied with his low rank, Satyam appeared in the IIT-JEE Main examination this year again and qualified, making him the youngest person to successfully clear this exam.
He appeared for both the exams in Kota, Rajasthan, where he has been studying. He was among those 1.50 lakh candidates who appeared for the examination this year.
Satyam's father Sidhanth Singh, said, "He is working hard to perform better in the IIT-JEE (Mains) to be held June 2. He is hoping for a better rank."
Earlier, Satyam said he wants to develop a software company similar to the social networking website Facebook. Satyam passed his class 12 final exam last year.
