MBA Degree on SALE in Munna Bhai Style!

Are you preparing hard to crack the upcoming MBA exam to secure a seat in the top notch MBA institute? Beware! the candidate sitting next to you might be a fake candidate, who might be taking the MBA exam for someone else in Munna Bhai style.

Mumbai Police claimed to have busted an MBA entrance test racket. They have arrested six persons including the master mind of this plot and the prime accused. The prime accused has been identified as Alok Kumar, a B.Tech graduate, who has cleared the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) entrance test many times by impersonating real applicant.

The selection process of the NMIMS programme includes an online exam and personal interview. This matter came into light when college authorities found that the photograph of 75 students were different on the entry cards for the online exam and the persons who have appeared in the interview were different from those who have appeared in the online exam. There were total 2,500 applicants who have appeared in the final selection process.

The Mumbai Police also claimed that they have arrest other accused, who have acted as mediators, identified as Hanumant Singh Gujar, Sugriv gujar who are both B.Tech graduates and brothers. There were other people who were involved in this racket were Brajendra Pratap Singh, MBA Graduate Pavan Kumar and Himanshu Shekhar.

The gang charged Rs. 15 lakh per students to clear their MBA entrance test. The first five accused were held in Delhi, however Himanshu was arrested from Pune.

Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Himanshu Roy said, "A month ago, the NMIMS complained to us about possible fraudulent practices being carried during online tests for NMAT 2013. During the course of the investigation, we caught all the six accused who used to charge Rs 15 lakh per student to ensure that they clear the NMAT test."
