IIMK inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK based university

he Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK-based Plymouth University. Now, it will offer student and faculty exchange programme and collaborative research projects.

The MoU was signed between the IIMK Director Prof Debashis Chatterjee and international programmes director of Plymouth University Prof Troy Hefferman.

IIMK has many future plans to fasten its international activity by establishing links and collaboration with top international business schools of the world. Presently, IIMK has already established partnership with 29 international business schools.

The student exchange programme at IIMK has indicated a steep growth this year. It has noticed 100% increase in the number of students participating in the international exchange programme. Eighty students from IIMK will complete their one semester at partner institute and around fifty students from partner institutions will be visiting IIMK in the academic year 2013-14.

Prof Nandakumar MK, Chairperson of IIMK international programme said students participating in the exchange programme will attain international exposure, apart from this they will also get an opportunity to understand the business practices in the host country. They will also develop a good understanding of the cross-cultural issues in management.
