12.5 lakh aspirants will attempt JEE Main tomorrow

The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) 2013, will be conducted online at various test centres across the country on 7th April, 2013. JEE Main, previously known as AIEEE, which was gateway for getting admission in various engineering courses at NITs, IITs and other centrally-funded educational institutes.

It is the first step towards getting admission in prestigious IITs of the country. It is also an eligibility or screening test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for getting admission in undergraduate courses in prestigious IITs of the country.

The entrance examination will consist two papers: Paper-I for those candidates who want to take admission to engineering courses other than B.Arch. and B.Plan. The entrance examination for B.Arch. and B. Plan. will be held in the afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm.

This year more than 12.5 lakh candidates will appear in this exam across the country. JEE can be taken in two modes online and offline. Online examination will be held at major cities and at selected centres only and in rest of the examination centres student can attempt offline examination. As per the official statements all the necessary arrangements have been done to conduct hassle free examination. They have started helpline to help and guide parents and students to find the allocated centre without problem.
